ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Self-esteemÿ isÿ importantÿ forÿ theÿ Nursingÿ profession.ÿ Theÿ objectiveÿ ofÿ thisÿ researchÿ wasÿÿ toÿ studyÿ theÿ self-esteemÿÿ ofÿÿ nursingÿ studentsÿ inÿÿ Boromarajonaniÿÿ Collegeÿÿÿÿ ofÿ Nursing ,ÿ Suphanburi ,ÿ andÿ toÿÿ determineÿ theÿ differencesÿ inÿ ÿself-esteemÿ ofÿÿ nursingÿÿ studentsÿ inÿÿ termsÿÿ ofÿ demographicÿ factorsÿÿ suchÿ asÿÿ age,ÿ class , GPA ,ÿ familyÿÿ background ,ÿ familyÿ income ,ÿ familyÿ relationship ,ÿÿ familyÿÿ upbringingÿ andÿÿ theÿ participationÿ inÿÿ studentÿÿÿ activities.ÿÿ Thisÿ studyÿ isÿÿ aÿÿ descriptiveÿ researchÿ andÿ theÿ sampleÿ groupÿÿ consistedÿÿ ofÿ 144ÿÿ nursingÿ studentsÿÿ inÿ theÿ secondÿ year ,ÿ theÿ thirdÿ yearÿÿ andÿ theÿÿ fourthÿ yearÿÿ onÿÿ 2005ÿÿ educationalÿÿ year.ÿ Theÿ dataÿ wereÿ collectedÿ byÿ usingÿÿ questionnairesÿ andÿÿ analyzedÿ byÿÿ Oneÿ wayÿÿÿ ANOVAÿÿ , t- testÿ ,ÿ frequencyÿÿ ,ÿ percentageÿ andÿÿ mean.

ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ Theÿ researchÿ findingÿ revealedÿÿ theÿ mostÿÿ ofÿÿÿ nursingÿ studentsÿÿ haveÿÿ highÿ self-esteem (68.8 %) andÿ moderateÿ level (31.3 %) Theÿ mean ÿscoresÿ ofÿ self-esteemÿÿ wereÿ notÿ significantlyÿ differentÿ forÿ age , class , andÿ GPA.ÿ Asÿ forÿ familyÿ income ,ÿ theÿ meanÿ scoresÿÿ ofÿ self-esteemÿ amongÿ theÿ studentsÿ wereÿ notÿ significantlyÿ different.ÿ Theÿ scoresÿÿ forÿ familyÿ relationshipÿ wasÿÿ significantlyÿ different. However ,ÿÿ forÿ familyÿ upbringing ,ÿ theÿÿ meanÿÿ scoresÿ ofÿÿ self-esteemÿ amongÿ theÿ studentsÿ wereÿ notÿ significantlyÿÿÿ different , Nursingÿ studentsÿ withÿÿ theÿÿ highestÿÿ participationÿÿ inÿÿ studentÿÿ activitiesÿ ,ÿ andÿÿÿ lessÿÿ orÿ noÿ participationÿÿÿ wereÿ notÿ significantlyÿ different .
